The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) is a privately controlled US code used to identify vessel operating common carriers (VOCC). It is typically two to four letters long. The National Motor Freight Traffic Association developed the SCAC code in the 1960s to help road transport companies computerize data and records.

UNLOCODES
UN/LOCODE, the United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations, is a geographic coding scheme developed and maintained by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). UN/LOCODE assigns codes to locations used in trade and transport with functions such as seaports, rail and road terminals, airports, Postal Exchange Offices and border crossing points.

In our platform, we use UNLOCODES to connect your request to the correct import or export location. Eg: if you would use BEANR we can map your request to the Import/Export Location=Belgium. Also, BEZEE would map to Belgium.
