- Check the list of posted import containers
Login to platform.avantida.com, go to the application ‘match empty container’ and choose the tab ‘Any available offer/search’. You’ll be looking for posts with the tag 'IMPORT CONTAINER' in front of them.
Use the filters to check if someone has posted an offer for a container that corresponds with your export booking.
Location
Post type: offer
Container size
Container type
Shipping line
If you find a match, simply click on the 3 dots next to the post and choose ‘take it’
You will be redirected to our normal reuse form that is partially filled out already with the details provided by the other transporter (container number etc.)
Complete the form and click on submit
You now have a normal pending reuse request in your reuse overview. As soon as the shipping line approves it, you will be given the contact details of the other transporter by mail and in the tab ‘history of matches’ so you can make arrangements to collect the container from the other transporter.
In this scenario, you file the reuse request, so you pay the reuse price defined by the shipping line, but no other costs will be charged for offering the container.
- Post your export booking
if there is no convenient offer for you in the list, you can actively post your export booking so other transporters can find it in the list:
click on the button ‘add import container/export booking’ and choose ‘add export booking’
You choose for the option 'add export booking'
Fill in the required fields:
shipping line
export location
desired location,
booking reference and type.
Share until: Please, make sure that, if nobody takes your search, you still have enough time to pick-up the container assigned by the shipping line, to load it at your customer’s and to bring it to quay. We advise you share at least until the day before closing.
The export booking will appear in the tab ‘All available offers’ for other transporters to see and in the tab ‘Proposed matches' where it’s visible for you.
You now have 2 options:
You choose one of the matches proposed by the system
You leave your export booking for other transporters to accept
3.2.1 choose one of the matches proposed by the system
In the overview ‘proposed matches, matching options will be proposed to you:
either with an import container post from another transporter: You click on 'match' and you will be shown a reuse form that you can complete and file. Once the shipping line has accepted it, you will be given the contact details of the other transporter to collect the container
or with an alternative pick-up location: the system will offer you an alternative pick-up location in your area. Once you click on 'match' you will be shown the pick-up request form that you can complete and file.
The expected price will be shown (subject to change)
In both cases, you file the reuse/pick-up request, so you pay the price defined by the shipping line, but no other costs will be charged.
- leave your export booking for other transporters to accept
If none of the proposals match for you, the export booking will stay visible for other transporters.
When another transporter takes your export booking, they file a reuse request for it. Once that reuse has been approved by the shipping line, you will receive the contact details of the other transporter in your export booking post and per e-mail, so you can agree where and when to collect the container.
In this case the other transporter files the reuse request, so they pay the price defined by the shipping line. No other costs will be charged for the sharing of the reuse.
